Here's What to expect

In my follow-up email, you’ll get a link to book a call with me to briefly talk through your idea and answer any questions before officially booking! We’ll also get dates and locations solidified before moving forward.

Consultation

Once you decide to officially book, I’ll send my invoice and contract for you to sign. The invoice will also include a 50% nonrefundable deposit to hold your spot on my calendar (the second payment will be due on the day of the session!).

Book

After your spot is secured, I’ll reach out again with details and we can go through anything else we didn’t discuss on the consultation call, such as studio options, props, additional locations, etc. If you booked an outdoor session, we may schedule a rain backup date as we get closer. I’ll also reach out via text the day before to make sure all your questions are answered!

Planning

During the session itself, all you need to do is show up and have fun! I’ll tell you exactly what to do in terms of posing and moving around our location. I’ll also show you the photos on the back of my camera as we go along, so we can adjust to make sure it’s what you’re looking for. My goal is for the session to be empowering and a good memory in itself, even before you get the photos back!

I’ll deliver the photos within 1-2 weeks of the session (although sometimes I get too excited to edit them and send you some sneak peeks beforehand!). All of the edited photos will be available to download in high-res in an online gallery - see an example here. ❣️

Can I add retouching to my session? +

Yes! You can add additional retouching for your favorite 10 images for an additional $111. This includes skin smoothing, teeth whitening, and flyaways.

Can I do my session in a studio? +

Absolutely! We’ll go over some potential studio options in the area on Peerspace (think of it like Airbnb for photo studios). Studio fees range from $50-$100 per hour, which will be added onto your invoice. Note that the studio headshot package ($555) already includes an hour of studio time!

How quick is your turnaround time? +

All sessions guarantee a 2-week turnaround time! I get pretty excited to edit your photos though, so you may get a sneak peek in the meantime :)

How do I prepare for my session? +

We’ll plan out your session in our planning call before the shoot! In the meantime, start thinking about inspiration photos, location ideas, and the vibe you’d like to capture during your session. Then, we’ll bring your creative vision to life! (Don’t worry about posing btw, I’ve got you covered - all you have to do is show up and I’ll guide you through the session!)

Can I bring someone else (or my pet) to my session? +

Of course! If you want to bring a few friends to cheer you on or someone to help carry your clothes/props, feel free to invite them along. Please let me know in advance if you plan on bringing a pet, since this will require extra planning to make sure our location can accommodate them!

How far do you travel? +

I’m currently based in Brooklyn and consider anywhere within New York City to be in my travel range. Travel fees can be arranged on a case-by-case basis!

What happens if it rains? +

Most of my sessions are outdoors, so this is definitely a possibility! Not to worry - I’ll start monitoring the forecast the week before your session. If there’s a 50% chance of rain, we’ll reserve a backup date and make the final decision to reschedule 1-2 days before the original date.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule? +

I am happy to reschedule at no cost for a rain delay or sickness. Cancellations, no-shows, and non-emergency rescheduling within 48 hours of the session will forfeit the nonrefundable retainer fee.

How do I download my photos? +

You’ll have high-res download access to the full gallery, so you can download as many as you’d like right away! You can either download the gallery all at once or create a Favorites list and only download your favorites. You’ll also receive a link inviting friends or family to make an account with full download access.

Do you offer prints? +

Yes! All photos in your gallery are edited and ready for printing. I offer a service connected to your digital gallery where you can order high-quality prints and other products directly from the website, including designing your own photo album.

How long is my gallery available? +

Part 1 of my contract states that galleries are hosted online for a minimum of 8 weeks. Please make sure you download your photos as soon as you get them (downloading is always better than screenshotting!)
