We have so many emotions wrapped up in our living spaces. We spend so much time searching for them, decorating them, making memories in them, paying rent for them… and then one day, we pack everything up and do it all over again. Our apartments are works of art and deserve to be documented as such!

Whether you just moved in or are moving out soon and want to memorialize your space, these sessions are about helping you capture your home so you have something to hold onto when it’s time to say goodbye.

Why photograph your apartment?
I’m biased as a photographer, but I’ve always felt like photos have a magical way of making it easier to part with the temporary things in life. Even when the physical space is gone, the photos remain.
As much as I wish we could keep our apartments forever, we almost always have to leave them at some point! Booking an "apARTment" session is a way to honor the space and all of the details that are meaningful to you and make your house into a home.

"apARTment" sessions are like scavenger hunts for me—I'll start by looking for all the little things that others might miss upon first glance.
Then, I slow down and spend time focusing on the little details after I scope it out. We’ll casually hang out during this time—maybe play your favorite album?
Then, I’ll add you into the photos. We can brainstorm some of your favorite activities and incorporate them into the session (see some ideas below). By the end, it'll feel like we just hung out for a few hours!
You’ll receive all the photos within one week!

What do I include in apARTment sessions?
Literally everything in your apartment. Obviously it differs depending on your space but it could be:
Your Squishmallow collection
Your pet
Your shoes by the door
Your dishes in the sink
Your record collection
Your fridge magnets
Your reading spot with your favorite books
Basically whatever makes your apartment yours!
Your favorite activities (cooking, painting, playing games, doing a puzzle, bird watching, etc.)

I moved to NYC with my boyfriend and hired Hannah to photograph our home (and us) about a year into the move. The whole experience was a joy. She did an incredible job at capturing the essence of our home and all the little details that make it uniquely ours. Plus, she made US look great!! For Valentine’s Day, I surprised my bf with a photobook from the shoot (it was hard to narrow it down to 100 favorites). We looked through the book over coffee with huge smiles on our faces :) now we will remember this chapter of our lives forever!! I can’t recommend Hannah more <3

Hannah took photos of my husband and I’s beloved Brooklyn apartment and I could not have had a better experience.
